The white rings around the eyes and long, ringed horns that can reach up to 28 inches in length give this trophy animal a highly desired, distinctive look. Male black buck antelopes can stand up to 32 inches in height and weigh as much as 95 pounds. Females are smaller in body size and stature and are usually light brown or tan in color. While females typically do not have horns, if horns are present, they do not have the spirals like their male counterparts.

As one of the fastest animals in the world, black buck antelopes can reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour when necessary. The primary diet for the black buck antelope is comprised of pods, leaves, grass, flowers, shrubs, and fruit. These beautiful animals make their home in scrublands, dry thorn, and open grasslands. The average life expectancy for the black buck antelope is about 12 years, but these animals have been known to live up to 16 years.
