Texas Gemsbok Hunting

The Gemsbok species ranges in color from a light brown to tan. This species features a thick neck and muscular shoulders with a black stripe that runs from the chin all the way down the neck. A male Gemsbok will typically weigh between 500 pounds and 550 pounds, while a female Gemsbok will weigh between 440 pounds and 460 pounds. Gemsboks will stand between 4 feet and 5 feet in height and can achieve running speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. Both the males and females of this species have long, straight horns. When the Gemsbok is intimidated, their horns can prove to be deadly. This species makes an excellent trophy animal on any Texas Gemsbok hunt.
